Sr. Network Engineer

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise-level networks across data centres, branches, and cloud environments. The role encompasses responsibilities in network operations, security, WAN optimisation, and data centre management.

Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Implementation:
Design secure LAN/WAN/data centre networks using routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Oversee structured cabling (copper/fibre).

Operations & Monitoring:
Manage and monitor network performance, resolve issues, maintain documentation, and ensure high uptime.

WAN & SD-WAN:
Configure MPLS, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions for optimised connectivity across distributed sites.

Security & Compliance:
Implement access controls, monitor threats, respond to incidents, and ensure the network complies with security regulations.

Capacity Planning:
Forecast future network and data centre needs, adopt scalable technologies, and manage power/cooling/resources.

Data Centre Management:
Maintain data centre health (environment, cabling, hardware), supervise upgrades, and ensure documentation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
4+ years in enterprise network environments.
Strong knowledge of routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP).
Experience with tools like SolarWinds or PRTG.
Familiar with SD-WAN, structured cabling, and data centre operations.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
