Summary:
Experienced Network and System engineer with a strong background in IT security to support and enhance our IT infrastructure in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily IT operations, maintaining network and server infrastructure, and implementing security best practices to ensure system reliability and data protection across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points across factory and office locations.
• Administer and maintain Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware/Hyper-V).
• Implement and manage endpoint protection, antivirus, patch management, and backup solutions.
• Ensure business continuity through proper disaster recovery planning and backup procedures.
• Support SAP and other enterprise systems by ensuring infrastructure readiness and access security.
• Monitor and enforce IT security controls, including firewall rules, VPN access, and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to deploy and support IT infrastructure for production equipment, labelling systems, and factory floor systems.
• Conduct regular system health checks, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
• Manage Office 365 (email, Teams, SharePoint) and integrate with security tools like Microsoft Defender and Intune (MDM).
• Document network diagrams, IT SOPs, asset inventories, and incident logs.
• Provide day-to-day IT support and Level 2/3 support for escalated hardware, server, and network-related issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 –6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, and Windows Server environments.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, IP addressing, VPNs, VLANs, and remote access solutions.
• Experience in managing IT security controls, including endpoint protection, MDM, and email security gateways.
• Familiarity with backup/disaster recovery tools and virtualization platforms.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure.
• Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
